An A&p said it has decided to close all its Orlando apartments, a decision that has been welcomed by tenants and landlords alike.
“At this time, we have no plans to continue operating our Orlando retail apartments in Gainesville,” A&parks spokesperson Rachel Whetstone said in an email to News 12.
The announcement comes on the heels of a recent report that a&%s Orlando locations were closing.
The decision was not surprising to many, especially since the retailer had already begun to shutter the properties in the last few years.
While A&Ps Orlando stores have long been popular destinations for families and young professionals, they have increasingly been closing over the past few years, especially as the company’s stock has fallen to record lows.
A&P has a history of closing stores in Florida, and it opened two stores in Jacksonville in 2014 and in the Tampa Bay area in 2016.
It closed a store in Orlando last month, but a spokeswoman did not provide further details on the closure.
